INDICATION

It is a vasopressin receptor antagonist used to treat hyponatremia (low blood sodium levels) associated with syndrome of inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion (SIADH) and to slow the progression of kidney cysts in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD) by promoting water excretion without losing electrolytes.
